I am most interested in how plants exhibit control over pathogens, especially the principles underlying pathogen recognition and subsequent downstream signals that ultimately determine the method of defense employed.
I believe the combination of molecular lab work with field and greenhouse studies provides a more complete understanding of a given plant-pathogen interaction.
